Description

A custom bronze football statue designed to celebrate & memorialize Willie Davis, a Black professional football player and businessman. Willie was a defensive end for the Green Bay Packers. For 10 seasons, Davis anchored the Packers’ defensive line, playing 138 consecutive regular-season games. Davis played in Super Bowls I and II (both wins by the Packers). While playing in the NFL, Davis also received a Master of Business Administration degree in 1968 from the University of Chicago.

This unique custom bronze statue was inspired by Willie’s daughter and features two African-American Children – a brother and sister, sitting on a park bench holding their dad’s football helmet, while an owl is perched behind them. The owl is meant to symbolize their mom’s love and to always be there looking over them.

“It came out better than I imagined. Thank you Randolph Rose Collection and thank you Green Bay Packers for making my vision a beautiful reality.” Lori D.
